Clothing brand H&M has enlisted singer/songwriter Lana Del Rey for their latest commercial spot – where the sultry crooner tackles Bobby Vinton’s “Blue Velvet” – made culturally famous as sung by Isabella Rossellini in the 1986 David Lynch film of the same name. In July this year, Del Rey became the face of H&M’s “LA Noir” collection so it seems only fitting that the treatment from director Johan Renck is reminiscent of a sartorial style from yesteryear. “Blue Velvet” from Lana Del Rey can be purchased here.
