An Intimate Look at the Day in the Life of Barack Obama

Official White House photographer Pete Souza has captured incredible photos of Barack Obama’s two-term presidency. Souza, who was previously Ronald Reagan’s official photographer (most notable for capturing thefirst meeting between Ronald and Nancy Reagan with Michael Jackson in 1984) gives us a glimpse of life in the White House and the legacy of the Obama age through candid, human moments caught between family, staff and children. Eight years in office saw many significant moments, including a meeting with 106-year-old Virginia McLaurin and the significance of her visit to the Blue Room to meet the first African American president and first lady.
