WATCH: YUNA – POOR HEART

Talented songstress Yuna returns with a new visual, for her song “Poor Heart,” off the Malaysian singer/songwriter’s latest album Chapters.

The cinematic video doesn’t feature Yuna, but it tells a moving story between two characters.

“Poor Heart tells a story about a ‘forgotten heart’, how it takes two people to make it work again,” says Yuna. “In the short film, a boy finds an abandoned heart in a shack, and immediately sends it over to a lifeless body of a dancer, bringing her to life and you see this incredible talent coming to life once the heart is delivered to her.”

Yuna is currently on the second leg of her U.S. “Chapters Tour,” after returning from a two week sold-out European trek. She is also set to take the stage during Soul Train Weekend 2016 in Las Vegas on November 3 alongside Jazmine Sullivan and Monica for the “Acoustically Speaking” performance, sponsored by Toyota at the House of Blues.

Jay-Z Offers Prince’s Estate Big Money For Rights To Unreleased Music

Jay-Z has continued his string of big business moves as the rapper is reported to have offered Prince’s estate $40 million for rights to the legend’s unreleased music.

Page Six reports that Hov met with Prince’s only full blood sister Tyka Nelson along with her husband Maurice Phillips in New York to pursue the deal.

However, before the deal can be closed, Nelson is required to receive a sign-off from all brothers and sisters in addition to the trust that is managing the estate.

Potential investor Jay-Z is also involved in negotiations for streaming rights with talks reported to be fierce and competitive.

Last week music label Warner Bros. announced that we’d be getting new music from Prince November 22 with a Purple Rain deluxe reissue, as well as the compilation Prince4Ever.

Both projects will feature unreleased songs from the legend before his 1996 exit from the label.

NEW MUSIC: EMELI SANDÉ FEAT. JAY ELECTRONICA & ÁINE ZION – GARDEN

If you’re wondering why it’s anticipated, well this time it’s for the rap feature, from often elusive MC Jay Electronica, who joins Sandé on the hypnotic track “Garden” along with Áine Zion.

After a spoken intro from Áine, Emeli kicks off the spacey, heavy drum-hitting track, singing about the fantastical feeling and place her lover can take her intimately.

“You make it real, make me feel / Make me feel I’m as strong as steel, and as tall as the mountains / Talk is cheap, you’re asking me / No place I’d rather be, than the back of the garden,” she sings.

Emeli premiered the song on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show early Thursday, and briefly spoke about the creation of the record. “Garden is one of my favorite songs on the album and we wrote it about two years ago,” she said. “It was produced by Chris Loco, who was one of the first producers I met when I came to London. This is the first time we could just be free to do something very experimental. Ainé recorded her part in New York. And then I came back to London and that’s when Chris and I got in the studio and the song came. And then we met Jay Electronica that summer so it just kind of felt like destiny the different parts of the songs coming together.”

Spotlight: The Coalition DJs

The Coalition DJs were assembled in 2008 as the brainchild of Atlanta music exec, Xavier Hargrove (DJ Big X). After years of watching DJ Funky, DJ X-Rated, and DJ Nando (the crew’s original founders) establish their names individually via popular Atlanta gentlemens’ clubs such as Jazzy T’s, Strokers, and Magic City, X felt that combining their efforts would make them a force to be reckoned with in Atlanta’s booming urban nightlife and music scene.

Utilizing longstanding relationships and capitalizing off of the extraordinary success of the city’s local talent, the Coalition DJs carved their niche. And, with marketing pro Nick Love at the helm, the team’s influence and reach grew nationally. With their exceptional skills on the turntables and the microphone, they’ve broken records for artists like Young Jeezy, TI, Future, Cash Out, Travis Porter, 2 Chainz, Rich Homie Quan, Migos, and more. Without question, they are officially the #1 DJ Crew In The World!
